Description
This Ableton Live instrument is made from samples of the Stylophone – the portable toy synthesiser from the 1960s. The version sampled was the re-released version from 2007.
This is a fun instrument for creating lo-fi and old-school synth sounds. The advantage over the original Stylophone is that it includes a polyphonic version, basic velocity sensitivity, plus adjustable vibrato controls. So you can play expressive chords and add subtle vibrato.
This is the FREE version of the ‘Stylophone Extended’ pack – it includes two basic Stylophone sample instruments, with one sample per octave, across just under 4 octaves.
The Extended pack has: a 9 octave range using separate samples for every note above C0; improved tuning (chords sound much better); optional onset and release sounds (the sound of the pen connecting with the touch sensitive keys).
All packs on Kaboodle Sound contain a ‘Previews’ folder so that you can preview the instruments as you can with core Ableton packs. (You just need to click on the clip in the folder).
If you would like to support this free pack and future free packs, you can donate through Buy Me A Coffee or via CoinPayments (which takes most major crypto currencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ripple, etc.):
